The selection of candidates for Office Assistant, Examiner, Reader, Senior Bailiff, Junior Bailiff/ Process Server, Process Writer, Xerox Operator, Driver, Copyist Attender, and other posts will be based on the Objective Type, Common Written Examination, Skill Test and Viva-voce exam. The final selection of the candidates will be made based on combined marks secured by the candidates in the written exam, skill test, and viva voce.

  1. Common Written Examination:
  • The Madras High Court will conduct a Common Written Examination (Objective Type) for shortlisting candidates.
  • Marks obtained in Part A and Part B will be considered together for shortlisting candidates for the next phase.

2. Skill Test:

  • Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will be called for a Skill Test.
  • The Skill Test will assess candidates’ knowledge and skills in office maintenance, housekeeping, hygiene, household articles maintenance, food production, cooking, cleaning, food and beverage service, gardening, water conservation, and basic principles of guarding the house/office.
  • The Skill Test will be held at Chennai or any other place as decided by the Judicial Recruitment Cell, High Court, Madras.

3. Viva-voce:

  • Candidates will be selected for Viva-voce based on their merit in the Common Written Examination and Skill Test.
  • Candidates will be called for Viva-voce in a ratio of 1:3 based on the marks secured in the written examination and skill test.

4. Final Selection:

  • The final selection of candidates will be based on the combined marks secured in the Common Written Examination, Skill Test, and Viva-voce.

5. Appointment:

  • Candidates who are selected and placed in the merit list will be appointed to the respective posts based on the vacancies and requirements.
